Day 1. 10 Sep Hometown to Shanghai  
Take overnight flight to Shanghai. Meals & drinks are included.

Day 2. 11 Sep Shanghai       Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi Hotel or similar 4Star
Upon arrival, transferred to hotel, and the rest of the day at your leisure.    

Day 3. 12 Sep Shanghai      Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi Hotel or similar 4Star
Free

Day 4. 13 Sep Shanghai, Suzhou, Shanghai (AB,L)  Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi Hotel or similar 4Star
Optional Tour ($179 ) by high speed train : Excursion to the water town Suzhou, including the Garden of Master of Nets, Silk Spinning Factory , cruise on the Grand Canal and Pingjiang Road Old Town Area.  

Day 5. 14 Sep:  Shanghai, Urumqi                      Mirage Hotel or similar 5Star
Welcome to Urumqi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, and the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6. 15 Sep: Urumqi, Heavenly Lake Boat ride, Urumqi(BLD)              Mirage Hotel or similar 5Star
After breakfast, drive to Tianshan Heavenly Lake scenic spot (1980m above sea level, covering 4.9 km², 105 m deep at the deepest point.). It’s located on the north side of Bogda Peak of the Tianshan Mountains, about 110km east of Urumqi. We will cruise the beautiful lake that has many touching story. Many writers have used this lake to portray in martial arts movies. The lake was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1990. Be a guest at the Kazak homes. Enjoy their snacks and drinks. Next, return to Urumqi city.

Day 7. 16 Sep: Urumqi, Turpan, Liuyuan (BLD)    Express Train (Overnight)
After breakfast, we will drive to Turpan which is 154m below sea level. Along the expressway, catch the beautiful salt lake, Asia’s biggest windmill and Daban City. Next, tour Jiaohe’s Ancient City which has a history of more than 2000 years.Next, visit Karez well which is one of the 3 ancient major projects of China. In the afternoon, we will tour flaming mountain and Grapes Valley. After dinner, we will board the train and head towards Gansu Province.

Day 8. 17 Sep: Liuyuan , Dunhuang (BLD)          Tianrun Hotel or similar 4Star
In the morning, the train arrives in Liyuan station. We will travel by coach to Dunhuang. Visit Mogao Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, (also known as the Caves of the Thousand Buddha’s and Dunhuang Caves which form a system of 492 temples 25km (15.5 miles) southeast of the center of Dunhuang, an oasis strategically located at a religious and cultural crossroads on the Silk Road on the edges of the Taklamakan Desert. The caves contain some of the finest examples of Buddhist art spanning a period of 1,000 years. The Mogao Caves are the best known of the Chinese Buddhist grottoes and, along with Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes, are one of the three famous ancient sculptural sites of China. In the afternoon, tour Mingsha Hill and Crescent Moon Lake. At Mingsha Hill, you can also choose to ride camels or sit on camel carts to tour the desert at your own expenses. At night, you can choose to tour the Dunhuang night market.

Day 9.18 Sep: Dunhuang, Liuyuan, Jiayuguan, Lanzhou (BLD)       Express Train (Overnight)
Drive to Liuyuan station where you can enjoy the scenery of Great Wall of the Han Dynasty and the Black Mountain along the way. On the train. Upon arrival in Jiayuguan, tour the "First and Greatest Pass Under Heaven" and view Mt Qilian from afar. Next tour the Great wall City Museum. If time allow, we will visit the Xuanbi Great Wall. After dinner, board the train to Lanzhou where you can choose to play few rounds of mahjong, sing with your friends etc.

Day 10. 19 Sep: Lanzhou, Xi’an (BLD)    Express Train (Overnight)
After a night of travelling (pass by Jiuquan, Wuwei, Wuxiaoling), arrive in Lanzhou. After breakfast tour the Waterwheel Garden, you may able to catch the sight of people using sheep’s skin raft to cross the river. Then visit White Pagoda Hill and take a photograph in front of the Yellow River Statue. Next, boat tour of the Yellow River. After dinner, we will board the train to Xi’an.

Day 11. 20 Sep: Xi’an (BLD)                       Grand Metro Park Hotel or similar 5Star
Visit Huaqing pool where Yang Guifei and the Emperor bathe. This is also a therapeutic hot spring pool. In the afternoon, visit Qin Shihuang’s Terracotta warriors and horses. Enjoy Xi’an dumpling feast for dinner.

Day 12. 21 Sep: Xi’an, Shanghai, Home ( B )
After breakfast, transfer you to airport & take our flight back to home to Canada.  plane , 5Star Express train and Coach.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the order of the  Itinerary might be changed and is subjected to the arrangement of the local agency.

 Note :
a) The itinerary is only for reference, it is subject to change if any adjustment of train time table, sightseeing spots etc.
b) For children below 12 years (bed will be included on the train but excluded in the hotel), the tour fee is based on 90% of the             adult fare,
c) Single supplement fare for whole journey is CAD$499.00/pax.
d) If there are changes to the hotels, a hotel with similar standards will be arranged.
e) The accommodation on ground is adding bed in twin-bed room if triple room on the train. Single room is                                            both on the train and on ground.
f) The deposit of 50% tour fare requires to be paid within 7 days for the guaranteed booking. The balance pays off 45 days                   before departure. If the payment can’t be received by the specific day, the booking will be cancelled.
Cancellation Clause:

(1)The full payment penalty for cancellation of 7 days(includes the 7th day) before departure
(2)The penalty for cancellation of 8 – 29 days (includes the 29th day) before departure
     Luxury Cabin : CAD$2699.00/room，CAD$699.00/person for land service.

a) Round trip international airfare with China Eastern airline economy class from Vancouver/Shanghai/ Vancouver or the other               airlines as our tour package listed in the above itinerary.  Airlines used in our tour package are chosen by                                          traveling panda any changes made to the airline may result changes to the tour package price.

c) China Local 4Star & 5Star Hotel accommodations as stated in the itinerary
d) Deluxe New Oriental Train fares (based on Luxury cabin for twin  ) when indicated in the itinerary.
e) All the sightseeing with our professional English Speaking tour guide as specified in the itinerary.
f) Ground transportation as specified per itinerary
